One of the key components of a great photo is posing. Posing properly can dramatically alter how you appear in photographs. It decides whether the photo appears contrived or natural. It can be difficult to know how to pose if you are not used to being in front of the camera. But don't worry, we have got you covered.

  • Relax your body and face

Need to take a deep breath before your shooting in order to make your face look best in the photo. Relax your body, shoulders and at the same time you can try to think about happy thoughts or scenes while you are shooting in front of the camera.

  • Utilize your hands and your hips

This is a classic posing move and it works. The "hand on hip" method draws attention to your waist while also giving you something to do with your hands. Just avoid overdoing it or you'll end up looking like a superhero.

  • Find Something to Lean On

You can try to find an object to lean on and it will help you look more relaxed and natural in photos. Remember that not lean too far or not you will look like you are about to fall over at the end up.

  • Make Lighting

Learn how to use lighting to your advantage. Lighting can make or break a photograph. Always turn your face towards the light, at least partially, so that it is lit. Because natural light is preferable, attempt to take your photos outside or near a window. If you use a flash, make sure it isn't aiming directly at the camera, or you'll get a washed-out image.

  • Make use of props to provide visual interest

The props may bring your images to life and give you something to do with your hands if it makes you uneasy. Try using a cute animal or an interesting object while snapping a photo of yourself.
